I love it! I love it! I love it!:
Maybe I am just high on the smell of the plastic barbie case, but I think this set is the greatest. :) I had previously owned the individual season sets, and sold them when I read of this release. I am not disappointed. It was worth all of the effort. If you are considering buying this set, I will assume that you already are aware of the brilliance of this show and are simply looking for a different format in which to buy it. The case is adorable. It has a puffy plastic white cover, identical to an old-fashioned barbie case. The side closes magnetically, so the case is very secure. And there is a sturdy black plastic handle you can use to carry the case with. The seasons are sub-divided into cardboard paper folders, with a picture of a cast member on each cover. Also included are two very charming books, one full of Gilmorisms and one full of the episode descriptions. For me, the only drawback to this collection is that, eventually, the white plastic will yellow with age and will look a tad dated. I would recommend buying this from Amazon's sister company, Amazon.com. Amazon.ca is charging $215 for the set, and I was able to buy my copy at Amazon.com for $169. That is a significant savings, especially with the Canadian dollar being so strong.

Gilmore Girls: The Complete Series Anybody who wants to collect The Gilmore Girls should buy this. This is packaged perfectly. I felt like a little girl when I opened it. I love the books, and how organized each season is. And the colours and patterns are so pretty. I collect a lot of TV on DVD, and all seasons store away so easily in this case. And you'll remember the old Barbie cases as soon as you see it. I can't say enough wonderful things about this. It's a must must have!!!

LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! I agonized for two months whether or not to purchase this b/c of the price and I already had S1. But I figured all 7 seasons would take up alot more space than this Collector's Set. Plus I got a gift card for Xmas and some cash and I knew right away where it was going! When my case arrived, I felt like a kid that had gotten a present that she'd wished for over and over and it FINALLY happened! This is one of the most exciting purchases that I've made in a long time. It was so exciting to open this up and see ALL the seasons there and organized so beautifully! The Episode Guide is full of glossy photos and just the full page photo of Luke is worth the price of the Collector's Set! He's gorgeous! Each season has a "Special Features" section. How exciting to start watching the whole series again. This is one of the best shows that's ever been on TV and I was devastated to see it end. My daughter is now the age that Rory was in Season 1 and has the same world view and sarcastic sense of humour. We used to watch this together until she grew up and got a social life. The only thing that would have made this set more perfect is a super large wall poster of Luke. But whether you're young or in your fifties like me, this set is a MUST HAVE!
