Great Security Suite:
NIS 2008 has made some great improvements. Like other always, its virus/spyware detection and removal rates, like always, are top notch. With Norton, you can easily detect viruses and remove them. It also has a five star firewall. And unlike most firewalls, it is smart enough to make most decisions by itself. For me and most computer users, that's a good thing. THe only downside to that is that its harder to configure it, but you would never need to do that unless you're a hardcore computer user lol. Also, norton has a much better brower and phising protection this time around. Best improvement of all is that it is alot faster than previous versions. Symantec has listened to complaints and greatly speeded up the program. The scans are faster and i dont notice much of a slow down during scans. The interface is also really easy and straight forward to use. Basically, if you want a software that will protect you from Internet security threats, Norton Internet Security is a GREAT choice!

Excellent Protection but at a big cost (performance):
This anti-virus is fairly reliable and in my tests blocked all outside connections. Even when my Internet Service Provider tried to diagnose my dsl modem over the phone it could not get through because Norton internet security 2008 was running on my computer. This software will definitely guarantee a hacker and virus proof pc. But all of this comes at a price; performance. as soon as i installed NIS2008 my computer became sluggish and my shutdown and boot times tripled. This is specially apparent on vista, even on my quad core. if you don't care about performance then get this product now but if you do look for something more resource light. p.s. make sure you have at least 2gb of ram on your pc before you install this.
