Unwanted Censorship: Unlike most reviewers I won't be comparing TOADM to Nickelback or any other band.I have been a huge fan of TOADM since their self titled debut and love every song they have done since, but that said I am quite disappointed with Scars and Souvenirs. I pre ordered my copy months ago and waited patiently for it's arrival only to discover that it has been censored, all explicit lyrics on the album are muted out which is quite annoying. Even the CD booklet has all explicit lyrics scratched out(This is not the bands fault this is in no way a reflection on them). Bad Girlfriend & Hate My Life are both brilliant rock songs but are completely destroyed due to constant muting of the lyrics,I felt like I was listening to a radio edit. I discovered after purchasing my copy that the recording company released the album in both explicit and clean versions but unfortunately this was not stated when I purchased mine.I can understand that we need censorship when it comes to children but Theory are an adult band and therefore should be treated as such. I don't appreciate being told what is suitable for me to listen to as I am old enough to make my own choices. This probably is a good album as Theory are a brilliant band but after getting half way through I chose not to listen any longer. I will now wait for the album to be released in Australia so I can view it before purchasing. If you decide to purchase the album make sure you inquire as to which version you are getting or you may end up being as disappointed as I was.
