Perovskia 'Filigran'

Far and away the sturdiest and most upright of any Perovskia, this outstanding Russian Sage has so many virtues you can almost take your pick! The foliage is feathery, very finely-cut, and glistens a rich silvery-green in the garden. The blooms surround the thin stems like a steel-blue cloud from midsummer to fall. The 3- to 4-foot plant is nicely rounded and densely-branched, creating an elegant, weightless effect in the garden. This delicate-looking plant is super-hardy almost everywhere in the contiguous U.S., and doesn't mind dry soil! Situate Filigran in full sun and in well-drained to dry soil. Zones 3-9.
