An introduction to the nature and uses of computers. Widely used applications including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software are presented. Additional lectures address computer systems organization, computer communications and networking, legal and ethical considerations, the effective presentation of information, computer security, artificial intelligence and the future of computing and the Internet.
