The Keeper of the Key

Why had they come back a second time to this place, when they had just escaped the night before? Was it the lure of the locked door? Was it just being too stubborn, knowing all along that they shouldn't have come back to this place? Time seemed to have no meaning now as the two of them sat huddled together in their prison. Surely they would perish as the wind and rain tried with all of its fury to enter the walls of their hidden room -- walls that would surely collapse, burying them forever with their secret, a secret known only by them and the keeper of the key.
