Word of Caution to Parents!:
This book should come with a content advisory. My 14 year old daughter said the plot was good so I started to thumb through it. Right away it pushes the idea of needing a certain body type to be beautiful, there are plenty of cuss words, and even a thought from the main character about how 'the hottie teacher had possibly BANGED a senior'. If you instill good morals in your children then this book should be avoided.

The Best Book I've read all SUMMER=):
This book was just really fun and amazing. I really got into the book and I felt like I could relate to the characters I even felt i was them especially when the tears whip out in the end. I felt like the emotion was real and the whole book made me mad to think I live in a state where there are no Prada stores or Armani Exchanges within 500 miles of me. This book made me wish i could have a sweetsixteen like this but i don't live in LA or NYC so this is unlikley. Still this book is a great read for any age, (no matter what the parents say) so if your into fashion and fun, and girls, and hot guys, and stuff like that, thn this is perfecto for you=)

Cute and charming:
Laura and Whitney have been friends for years, despite the fact that they couldn't be more opposite: Laura is the daughter of two NYU professors and is on scholarship to Tate; while Whitney is a blue-blooded Upper East Sider, raised in the lap of luxury. Enter Sophie, the daughter of a well-known movie director, who fights with Whitney to be the "queen bee" of their exclusive private girls' school. Everyone is obsessed with having the biggest and most over-the-top Sweet Sixteen Party. Although Laura goes along with her friends' materialistic behavior, she's still able to remain objective about her life. The outcome is predictable when Whitney and Sophie, friends at first, begin fighting over a boy both of them like and figting over who will have the biggest and most expensive Sweet Sixteen Party. The authors do a wonderful job of depicting teenage angst in the voice of a teenager who isn't quite as self-absorbed as her friends are. I found it remarkable, though that Laura never feels resentment towards her friends for having more than she does. She's able to realize that, even though her parents don't have very much money, she still has a great life. This was a great one-sitting read that kept me hooked until the end.

Loved This!:
This is classified as a teen read, but I think adult women can definitely appreciate it too. I definitely got caught up in the story of how teenage girls can turn against each other. Carrie Karasyov writes about believable characters and I always enjoy her writing style. Plus, it is always entertaining to read about the super-rich--in this case, their lavish Sweet 16 parties.

Fake.:
I using my dad's account BTW- This book is annoying. The characters are shallow, cheesy and fake, and the author tries to use slang to make the kids look "cool" when it only makes them look stupid. I would not recommend this to anyone, unless on a boring day.
