A "Must Own" Accounting Book: I own a small business and I needed to get a basic understaning of accounting. This book ended up being the perfect choice The book is very well written and explains accounting in plain english. It gives you what you need to know in order to study accounting in a format that you can very easily understand. The included study plans are extremely helpful as well as the self tests that go along with each chapter. There are not too many books out there that are this informative. I especially enjoyed the author's style of writing. Normally this can be a tedious topic to read about, but not this book. It's very practical in introducing you to real life accounting.
ESSENTIAL FOR GUIDING BUSINESS DECISIONS: The circulation of money is the heartbeat of any business or professional operation. This vital book has saved my business thousands and given me an understanding about how the flow money is controlled through the accounting process. I especially liked the text book approach, where information is logically presented and then built upon as a stepping stone to an understanding of accounting. It is no wonder that this book is now in its fourth edition. This book is essential for anyone who wants to be successful in a business or professional operation.
too many typos: The explanatory text is just fine, but when you go to make sure you understand everything by doing the test problems, all the value is lost because there are so many typos in the problems that you never know if you are wrong or the book is.
