A nice read: When Anna overhears a discussion about Aunt Julie's wedding, she learns she is to be the flower girl. Oh, no! Anna doesn't believe that weddings are fun for kids. She would rather ride her bike, climb trees or go swimming. Anna decides to hide in the attic until after the wedding. While watching from her secret hiding place in the attic, Anna sees Aunt Julie, her mother and grandmother pull a gown and veil out of old boxes - and she begins to imagine how it would feel to be a bride. She wants to try on the beautiful things. Maybe Anna is changing her mind about weddings. No, she would still rather play outside than be a flower girl. Flower Girl, by Kathy Furgang is a storybook for children 4-8 years of age. It is a nice story that youngsters will enjoy reading and Harley Jessup's delightful drawings will keep them turning the pages.
so so book: This book didn't really apply to my flower girl and if anything, it focused more on her being nervous when my flower girl is so excited and she thinks that it's HER getting married. Since it didn't really apply, I ended up returning it.
Great book!: This is a wonderful book with beautiful illustrations. Any little girl will love this book, especially if she is going to be attending a wedding. Kathy Furgang writes a very sweet story, and I hope to read more books from this author.
Wonderful Book!: My daughter and I love this simple, beautiful story!
Beautiful and Colorful!!: I loved this book, because of the gorgeous illustrations mostly. The story is well-served by the bright and funny drawings, and the little girl's expressive face is a story in itself. This guy Harley Jessup is very talented and really sees the world as a child would. Five stars--have a look!
