SSSOkay: Since I'm not a child and our own child is in mid-30's, I'll have to stay middle on this rating. It is OK, I think, but if/when a parent attempts to read this story to a child, there is a need for "fill"... so the parent will need to be adequate story teller and not just a reader, depending upon the book to do the parental work. In that setting, I rate it 5 stars, but in the real world, where parents desire more help, it's a 3.
passionate: The art is great, and my Kearen, loves it, he is so in love with this book! Must buy if you have kids!
lady in the water hardback book: I am a fan of M. Night and have greatly enjoyed his theatrical releases. I was especially interested in this book, learning he had written it for his daughters. Beautiful artwork and a real treasure to share with your children.
Lady in the Water: I think he should stick to making movies. It was very hard for a young child to understand.
Beautiful book for kids: This a rare and beautiful nighttale in the form of an illustrations book, providing, in a very short tale, all the elements (magic, fear, hope...) of a real fairy tale. For those searching for a "book of the film" this is only an intro to the story, which remains untold in their details.
