great great great way to go Ann.:
This book is really great .I really disagree with the people who badmouthed it.I mean this is when they get Emily. And that is very inportant.I think that people who wrote those bad things about it did not even read it .And decided to make trouble .And write bad things.keep writing Ann M. Martin. If she stops it will be your fault.

Pretty dumb.:
I thought this book was stupid and unrealistic. I don't really like the older BSC books...the newer ones with Abby are way better. If you want to read it, though, get it from the library...I wouldn't reccomend buying.

I luv this book!:
I realized that most of the other reviews on this book say it's bad but it's not!I think those people that bad-mouthed it are weird-o's!I also can't believe taht no one else's reviews told that this is the book where they get Emily Michelle! It's really a good book so read it!

catchy book title:
the mother's day surprise is about kristy mother and stepfather adopting emily michelle, a 2 year old baby girl from vietnam. The book is not really about that though it's mostly about the babysitters club and visiting stacey(who was in new york at the time) taking the kids to a carnival during the mother's day weekend to give them a day off or something. It may have been a sweet gesture, but during mother's day families actually LIKE to spend time with one another on the weekends and if I were a mother with kids and living in stoneybrook I never would have wanted to send my kids in the care of 13 year old girls on a festive weekend that is supposed to be family time. Come on!

Better!:
Kristy and the Mother's day Surprise is better than Dawn On the Coast. The Pike kids are preparing a super meal for Mrs. Pike from many siblings. Kristy and Watson are going to adopt Emily Michelle for Mrs. Thomas.
