WOW MADONNA HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY MOMMA, NOW SHE CAN BE YOUR KIDS MOMMA TOO!: Heres the thing. I can't buy this for my kids this Christmas. My baby's mamma will surely be pissed. She will say, "Nice gift, why don't you go spend the Holidays with MADONNA!" And there I will be, homeless, on the streets with nothing but my Madonna book box set. I might as well just skip this, and buy the old SEX book for myself. But, all jokes aside, the three books here I would recommend for kids. Madonna has surely done some hard living, and these books teach some valuable lessons for kids of all ages. Like, how gossip can be bad, and what true friends are... etc. Good stuff. I think The Madge is aware that kids don't need the type of stuff that is mass marketed for kids these days (Kidz Bop and Bratz) she was her own bitch, not the industrys. This is like whole milk for young minds, not pop rocks and coke. I'd trust this kitten with my kids.
Stop criticizing Madonna and Enjoy the product!: I definitely think what Madonna is doing is great. With all the knowledge she has, she is sharing it with the world through art and literature. I read some of these reviews and all people do is mock her and wright a negative comment in regards to things that she has done in her career. I think alot of you are self centered and need to re proioritize your outlook on situations. I bet you didn't know that her children have never seen any of her concerts, they don't attend, they don't watch the garbage on tv, they know multiple languages when I bet your children and getting C's and D's in school. The books are great with awesome lessons. Maybe Madonna should write a book about "People putting there nose in where it don't belong" KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK MADONNA!
My Kids Love These Books!: My daughter (6) first learned about Madonna when she heard the song "Time". She seemed to like the song so much that I thought I would get the Madonna 3 Book Collection for her birthday. My daughter has picked up on the fact that male role models are predominant in our society. So she seeks out female authors, singers, etc. First we spent several weeks reading the English Roses to my daughter. But now Yakov and the Seven Thieves is a favorite of both my son and daughter. Yakov is a thought provoking story about faith and friendship. Mr. Peabody's Apples is also a good read for the kids. There are the books we read once and then sit on the self, and then there are the books that get requested and read again and again. These are the latter.
GREAT BOOKS: I BOUGHT 2 SETS OF THESE BOOKS: ONE FOR MY BABY AND A SET FOR MY SISTERS BABY. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM. THERE WAS A BAD REVIEW WHEN I WAS LOOKING TO PURCHASE THESE BUT I HAVE A FEELING IT WAS BY SOMEONE THAT JUST DOESNT HAPPEN TO LIKE MADONNA PERSONNALY. OH WELL, THEYRE LOSS. THESE BOOKS ARE SO NICE AND HAVE GREAT STORIES IN THEM. THEY TEACH GREAT LESSONS IN THEM AND HAVE NICE ILLUSTRATIONS. I READ THEM TO MY BABY NOW AND LATER WILL ACTUALLY GIVE THEM TO HIM TO READ ON HIS OWN WHEN HE GETS A BIT OLD. THEY ARE REALLY REALLY GREAT AND I LOOK FORWARD TO HER FUTURE WRITINGS
EXCELLENT: MY NIECES HAVE THE COLLECTION ON MADONNA'S BOOKS THEY LOVE HER BOOKS! 10 YEAR OLD REBECCA AND 7 YER OLD ALONDRA AND THEY LIKE THE SONG "HUNG UP"!!
