Keeps you on your toes: After years of people telling me that since I love mystery and suspense I should try MHC, I finally got around to it last year! I read, I heard that song before. Wow, was I disappointed!! BUT, thankfully I had one more of her books on my shelf- Daddy's Little Girl, and I'm glad that I gave her another try! Much better!! This was a very suspenseful, past paced novel that keeps you on your toes. I woke up early to read, stayed up late, read it in only a few days. A highly enjoyable read! I'm looking forward to more of her older books, as those seem to be the best work.
TOO DAMN SLOW: This book started a little bit interesting but as i kept reading it was very slow, nothing interesting and very boring at the end, the final disappointed me.
Slow Moving, Boring: This was okay but slow moving to me. Investigative reporter seeks to put away her sister's murdered after he got out on parole. The entire book was about revenge but wasn't very believable to me. I didn't care for it so didn't read any other books by Mary Higgins Clark. Karen Arlettaz Zemek, Author of "My Funny Dad, Harry"
Boring: Mary Higgins Clark attempts to recapture the essence of some of her older work exploring the relationship between sisters, but sadly it doesn't work as well this time around. The characters are flat, and the plot was, frankly, on the dull side.
