As a newcomer in the industry, I've read just about every Wedding / Event Planning resource there is. This is, hands down, the best yet. What I admired most about the book was its academic approach to the field as it reads like a college level textbook. I recommend it to anyone looking to break into the business of event / wedding planning. It is the only book you need!

Excellent Resource:
This is an excellent, indepth resource book if you are thinking of going into wedding consulting. It not only covers every topic, but it also gives examples from different cultures. The case studies are an added bonus, and the "what would you do" scenarios make you think out a plan before something like that actually happens to you.

Indespensible Resource for New Planners! Great Reference for Experienced Planners!:
I am so impressed with how thorough and well-written this book is. It is phenomenal. I wish I'd had it when I first started out. It's much better than many of the courses offered. Now it serves me very well for training interns!
