Excellent for 10 minute devotions with your children.:
My family and I use this book for morning devotions all but 4 or 5 days a month. The stories can be read and the review questions answered in 10 to 12 minutes. Extended time can be spent. The stories in many cases are paraphrases which correlate very closely to the NIV. I highly recommend this for any family who wants to have regular and systematic 'through the Bible' devotions.

This story book has helped me greatly in telling Bible stories to my students! It is very close to the NIV translation of the Bible. It is one of the better story books out there. It tells the stories from the Bible without adding many unnecessary or untrue details into the story. This is an excellent book. I recommend it for everyone, big or small!

We have read several (probably 10 or more) Bibles for children over the past 10 years. I would say without a doubt this is the one that the most Biblical. The stories broken into shorter stories, so they are perfect for a quick devotional with the kids.
A timeless treasure:
I received this book in 1972 from my mother in law (an elementary school teacher who used it in her classroom). I read to my children, they were always eager to hear the next story. It was by far their first pick of Bible story books. There are 270 very interesting and informative Bible stories covering Genesis through Revelations. They are Biblical truths written on a childs level. It's even the perfect read for an adult desiring to educate and understand the Bible themself. My Grandchildren are now enjoying it also. The author was an elementary school teacher herself and I had the benefit of sitting at her feet in Kindergarten to hear her fantastic stories.
