This book fills that void with a wide variety of settings, images and finishes ... enough to make you want to grab those how-to books collecting dust and plan your next (or first) attempt at trompe l'oeil!

Disappointment:
This book was photography of completed trompe l'oeil photos with not even a single instructional paragraph.

useless:
Though the photographs in this book may provide inspiration for interiors no instruction is provided for anyone interested in doing Trompe L'oeil themselves. The appendix lists artists and companies that provide this service but because the information is dated and no web addresses are provides even this information is useless.

Pretty pictures...:
Everyone should check this book out. Yes, YOU. These aren't the cheesy badly-painted scenery murals from hardware store how-to books; this is a collection of photography of real, immersive works of art. Skim through this, get absorbed, and daydream about implementing some of them in your house, even if you can't really. Mmm. I wish I had the guts to transform my house with something like these.

An Inspirational Bible for Trompe l' Oeil Artists:
This book is full of inspirational finished projects in their setting. Muralists will love the treasure trove of ideas presented here. There is something for any setting here, from the grandiose mansion to the modest home. Highly reccomended to the serious decorative artist!
