Book Description: While gardeners may be happy enough with their gardens in spring and early summer, few feel so confident about prolonging the display. This book shows how to extend the blooming season by choosing the right plants that will help make it possible to get the best from the garden in late summer and autumn.
Only in England: I should have known better. Anything called a "late summer flower" by an English author will be long gone in the Midwest. Ok if you live in Maine or seattle, I expect.
A much needed book on autumn flowers: I found this book written by an expert plantswoman on growing perennial flowers extremely worthwhile read. Good photos and down to earth comments on the subject of late flowering perennials. Excellent directory on the plants, and some very new plant introductions mentioned. Recommended.
