Not really a dictionary - more a regional glossary: This little book is an informal glossary of regional (mis)pronunciations, rather than an actual dictionary of the Cajun dialect. If you want a few good-natured laughs at rural Louisiana speech, you'll enjoy this book. If you are serious about studying the Cajun dialect, look elsewhere for a comprehensive dictionary.
A "Cajun English" Dictionary: The title of this book is misleading in that it's really a collection of Cajun English phrases. The spelling is done using English phonetics and the sample sentences are pretty funny. Mom and Daddy were gasping for air because they were laughing so hard more than once. If you want a real Cajun French dictionary, check out the one from Father Daigle.
