Rollin True Confessions of a Former Identity Theif:
Unfortunatly this book had no meat to it. I liked the fact that it was written as if I was talkin with the author Roland BUT he repeated things way to often and never ever went into great detail about how some of the scams were pulled off. My credit repair book "Credit Smart" is written in a similar style but I go into great detail about what to do and I show many examples of TRUE things that I have done. http://www.loanofficerstore.com/products.html#products_link Many people have benefited from my manual and that was my intention when I wrote it (as well as making a profit of course). With Rollin I felt like Roland was just perpatrating another scam on me by selling me an empty book. I felt let down. Pesonally I think that a qualified fiction writer could have done a better job. I never ever felt like I was on the "inside". I also ordered Scams and Swindles from Amazon at the same time and I am 25% finished.... but that book delivers the goods! Doug Vairo

No Content - Written poorly:
I agree with the person that says there is "no meat" in this text. It is funny to see that Amazon is also trying to bundle this book with the T.Carter book that is also poorly written. Both feel like blog posts by ghetto people who couldn't make it any other way in life so they dabbled in fraud. Their practices are not relevant to today and even if they were the books do not share enough detail. Their information is very speculative since they're speaking strictly from experience and guesses instead of technical research into how banking/check processing works.

Informative and Interesting...:
In general I loved the book. I find it informative, helpful, and an interesting memoir of the life of a true identity theft redeemed. If I had one complaint about the book at all, it would be that there was not enough of it! I found myself fascinated by the stories Mr. Hemphill told of his life, and wanted to know more about his life and the things that happened to him. Personally, I think this book, if adapted properly, would make a great movie!

Fascinating journey!!!!:
The author's journey from the ringleader of a multi-million dollar organization to a leader in eradicating identity theft is absolutely fascinating! Based upon my experience in identity theft education, research, and investigations, Mr. Hemphill provides valuable suggestions for preventing the crime. I highly recommend this book to Criminal Justice professionals interested in understanding how fraud rings operate. It is a "must read book" for personnel of financial institutions, credit card companies, data brokers, health care providers, legislators, and businesses who are concerned about information security.
