Not bad for a first book by a young author: This is basically a diary of a Peace Corps volunteer sent to Uzbekistan whose tour of duty was cut short by 9/11. It's not great literature, but it's not bad--especially as a historical document. Should interest readers wanting to learn about Central Asia, the Peace Corps, or how 9/11 affected Americans abroad.
