Dave Juliano explains steps that residents can take in a very straightforward and practical manner. The reader should have little difficulty following his proven methods for coexisting with the spirit world. Dave's book leaves no question in the reader's mind regarding "how-to". Positive Energy for Haunted Homes is a very refreshing and understandable addition to this genre. As someone who has had to coexist with the spirit world for his entire life, Dave's methods are written with expertise and insight that shows his desire to spread his wealth of knowledge.

Perfect for the Novice:
Dave Juliano does a great job in explaining what can be a very confusing subject. This book is written in terms that anyone can understand. His personal experiences shared in this book give the reader a more realistic viewpoint. Whether you are an old-hand at these practices, or just considering it for the first time, you will find the information contained in this book extremely useful.

Better books out there:
I learned a valuable lesson from buying this book - ALWAYS pay attention to the size and page numbers of books before you buy them. I ordered two books and when they arrived I thought that this book had been left out of the order. As I unwrapped the other book I saw this little "booklet" which turned out to be Positive Energy for Haunted Homes. I couldn't believe I had just paid $10.00 for this booklet. I instantly felt ripped off. The booklet is about the size of the horoscope booklets and baby names booklets found at the check out at grocery stores. You could probably read this entire booklet waiting in line at a check out - it takes about 15 minutes to read the whole thing. I looked back on the reviews and product info for this booklet and found them very misleading. While it says this booklet is 50 pages it is, in fact, only 42. The title page in counted as page 1, copyright page is page 2, table of contents is page 3 and a blank page is page 4. The actual material doesn't start till page 5!( which should be page 1)The previous reviews made this sound like a much have book for anyone involved in paranormal work. I found it simply a waste of money. I could have gotten the same information on a website. The books is a "beginner's guide" though the prayers listed (which take up 10 pages or about 1/4 of the whole booklet) really aren't for beginners at all. They are all Roman Catholic in origin, which is fine, but it certainly doesn't help anyone who does not have a strong Roman Catholic belief system. The prayers are typical R.C. prayers about the devil and Satan, the gates of hell and God's power over Satan. Most hauntings are not caused by such negative forces. The Catholic church has always seen the paranormal is this light - evil and has approached anything paranormal as something from the fires of hell that has to be cast out. Most hauntings can be cleared using a smudge and much more loving and gentle prayers. The author does talk about the need to increase positive energy in the house which is important. If I was a beginner I don't think this booklet would have been helpful. It only touches briefly on how to bring in positive energy and doesn't go into any detail about it. Most of the focus seems to be on long, "exorcist" type prayers that I think very few people would ever use. The author several times says that other religions have practices but never discusses them. There is no bibliography which would have been helpful and may have helped me cope with the loss of $10.00 for something that should be at least half the price. A much better book on clearing is "Clearing: A Guide to Liberating Energies Trapped in Buildings and Lands" by Jim PathFinder Ewing. It is more from a shamanic perspective but does talk about other faith traditions. It is much more informative and has a less rigid approach to the beings that may be inhabiting a location. It provides much more detail about the process of doing a clearing, the beings that may be inhabiting a location and provides a glossary and bibliography. Save your money. There are actual "books" out there that are more helpful.

A great guide book written in laymen terms:
Finally a book covering herbs and crystals written by someone who learned many of these techniques out of need to help people deal with negative spirits when traditional methods were not working. The book is well grounded and doe not talk down to any belief system. It explains that positive energy created from positive techniques will always push out the negative spirits.

A Must Read:
This book is a must read for anyone who lives in a house with spirit activity and for Ghost Researchers. Dave's personal flaire and experiences have really served useful in writing Positive Energy For Haunted Homes. I highly recommend this practical and useful cleansing and protection book. ~Nikki
