Phineas Phoghorn's Mad Cap Caper (ISBN 1438202288)

Categories:

Phabulous Phineas:
In a word, Phineas is "Phabulous!" This is a wonderfully illustrated and engaging book for both children and adults alike. Full of bright, witty and creative illustrations, this will delight all with the double entendres and smart writing. This book will indeed leave you with a smile. A loyal follower of Phineas, I am counting down to the next exciting adventure. Most highly recommended!

When's the next one coming out?:
Ha, this is an excellent family book, My young boy and I pour over the pictures and laugh and laugh, we find something new every time we open it. So, when is the next one coming out? Our copy is getting worn down to a nub, so we are going to have to get another of the mad cap, definitely recommend phineas, also good for wide span of ages, the detail is awesome. We are hooked!

My kids love it:
Phineas has remained among my kids' favorite stories since we bought it several weeks ago. The kids have a blast noticing new things in the illustrations as we continue to read it and I like the uncanny mix of creativity and adventure. Clearly, this was a work of passion for Mr. Milone and we look forward to reading more from him.

Fun from the first page, through the last.:
Phineas Phoghorn's Mad Cap Caper is a book for all ages. From my 5 year old niece to my 14 year old nephew, and their 40 something parents they each found this book, wonderfully illustrated, well-written, and most of all fun! Each page is a surprise, and each reading an adventure, finding something new each and every time. I've purchased a few copies already, and I'm coming back for more.

Creative! Irreverent!:
Try to imagine that Inspector Gadget's older brother has wandered into T.T. Khing's "Where is the Cake?"; the result has vibrant colors, a steady stream of action, varied landscapes/environs/perspectives, and a high level of detail (multiple rereads are a must). "Phineas" is creative and irreverent (with "bo-coo" of fractured Franglais, it will do little to improve relations between French-speaking and non French-speaking countries). It must have been great fun to create, and is great fun to read.
