A LIGHTHOUSE ON THE HORIZON: STOCK MARKET NAVIGATION By Ed Dryden - Copyright © 2003 Ed_Dryden@Hotmail.com Literary Review By Elijah Saatori - September 28th 2004 Elijah@Constellation7.org www.galaxion.net For an author with English as his second language, this book is commendable. One of the features that is very refreshing is the summary present at the end of each chapter. A good idea and one that other authors can benefit from, especially for literary works that are more technical in nature. For private investors, either with a long history in the American stock market, or new to the market or even considering investing in stocks for the first time, this book is a very useful tool in acquainting people with the opportunities and pitfalls that come with such a pursuit. As the author rightly states at the close of the book, reading it a second time is a good suggestion, to refresh the reader's mind regarding more complex concepts and terminologies. There are some good abstract and creative similes and metaphors used in several places, that give a more human face to an otherwise rather clinical subject. Technically, Chapter Nine really hits home, even to myself, who has never invested in the American Stock Market, with four major investment models proposed, under the creative heading of The Lighthouse Dynamic Asset Allocation System. These four systems, each leading into each other, and culminating in the Beach House system, are further sub-divided into a total of seven creative headings, each being fascinating ways to leverage various higher and lower investment risk propositions. The author has clearly given the matter considerable thought, and with his long history in the industry, the gems outlined therein are sure to be of great benefit to an investor looking to modify their existing stock market investment scenario. The book will greatly benefit from a literary only update, upon the next print run, nevertheless, the flesh and bones of a great investment read are clearly laid out, and worthy of a good, long look, for those who are serious about the American stock market. It will be fascinating to find out, in due course, how many people, who apply the suggestions in this interesting read, enhance and increase their personal stock market incomes through these new tenets proposed by Ed Dryden. Real time, active feedback is encouraged, to help gauge and monitor the long term application potential of Stock Market Navigation, and this can be done through the internet, email and perhaps also through a Forum, that should be established on Ed's website, www.StockMarketNavigation.com Finally, integrity and honesty are essential ingredients in the mindset of anyone involved in the stock market and investment industries; as such, knowing that Ed is a committed Christian, the reader can be relaxed that Ed's motives in bringing this short book to the market place, are nothing less than selfless, in sharing his long experience, and new insights, openly, for the discerning reader to benefit from. To navigate today's stormy economic seas, a Lighthouse on the horizon is always a comfort to the careful mariner, knowing that other wayfarers have travelled the same course, and have cared enough to leave a Beacon for others to benefit from. God Bless the Faithful in The Lord.
