Pretty to look at, not practical to do: For the past several years I've enjoyed my daily "easy" Cross-Stitch Pattern-a-Day calendars, but I've never done a single pattern. why? For one thing, they are extremely difficult to do. Computer generated, a typical design of 5" x 5" may require as many as 36 colors. The patterns are very hard to read - they are very small for the intricate detail they require. The one time I did an element from one of the designs, I took the pattern to a Kinko's and blew it up. Even a small teddy bear (2" x 2") that I loved took me a long time to do and over 12 different colors. I still buy the calendars every year, though. I like the look of the designs and find the calendar an attractive addition to my desk.
Not as wonderful as I'd hoped: The thought of having a cross stitch pattern for each day really excited me. I love cross stitching, and I love acquiring new patterns. Unfortunately, many of these designs are just not pretty or enjoyable. I don't see myself ever stitching even half of them. Good idea, not the greatest execution.
Love it!!!: Easy Cross-Stitch Pattern-a-Day: 2008 Day-to-Day Calendar I love this calendar. The patterns take a little more than a day to do but it has some really cute patterns.
Cross-Stitch Calendar: The product come nicely packed in a standard Amazon packaging. The box which holds the Cross-Stitch calendar can be folded as a display stand for the card calendar. My girlfriend is loving this calendar.
