Rekindled love: For the first time in two years, Mark Saunders travels home for the Christmas holiday. He brings fond memories of school teacher Essence Monroe; she was the last woman to challenge his emotions and he cannot get her out of his mind. Mark wants to show Essence in spite of the time he has been gone, he has not forgotten her. Essence is still upset with Mark, he did not contact her the entire two years he was gone. Her broken heart is just beginning to heal, and she is afraid to risk it again. Also Essence has a secret which she does not want to share with Mark. When he finds out, he immediately wants to do the right thing, but Essence thinks he is doing it for the wrong reasons, so she refuses his advances. Essence believes Mark is still the same shallow man who did not want a commitment and who left without a decent goodbye. Mark has to convince Essence that he is sincere in his efforts, but to do this he must make the hardest decision of his life. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE by Angie Daniels, is a familiar story of love lost and found, but she does it with just the right touch of emotions to make the story a little different and a lot more embraceable. This is a blissful read; a love for all time. (RAW Rating: 4.5) Reviewed by aNN of The RAWSISTAZ™ Reviewers
He's running out of time!: Mark Saunders travels home for the Christmas holidays after being away for two years. His fondest memories are of his sister's best friend Essence. She was the last woman to challenge his emotions. But after a brief affair with Essence, he has to leave for duty; thereby severing his relationship with her. Essence is devastated and does not tell Mark she is pregnant. After a few months have passed, she decides to send several letters informing him they need to talk. But there was no responses from Mark. And now that he's home for the holidays, Mark wants to show Essence that he has not forgotten her. Mark finds out he has a son by the very woman he can't get off his mind and wants to do the right thing. But Essence is still upset with Mark and doesn't want to hear it and refuses his advances. She believes Mark to be the same shallow man who did not want a commitment. Can Mark convince Essence that he is sincere in his efforts? Will Essence give in for the sake of their son? But a decision has to be made quickly because "TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE." At first I thought this to be your typical read of boy meet girl, boy lose girl, boy finds girl again. But I must say, it was an enjoyable read and ride along the way. Mark was a true alpha male who wanted it his way. And at times, it looked like it would be no way. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE had the right amount of emotions to make the story a little different and a lot more believable. I recommend this book highly as a keeper in your library collection. I love Ms. Daniels's style of writing.
