I really enjoyed this book! Interviewed inside are Eric Idle, Penelope Keith, Stephanie Cole, John Inman, Clive Swift, Lenny Henry, Gorden Kaye, Craig Charles, Robert Llewellyn, Blythe Duff, Geraldine Somerville, John Mortimer, and Beryl and Sue Vertue -- all icons of British television. Except in two cases where two people shared, each has his/her own chapter that begins with a mini-bio of that person, then an interview with him/her. John Mortimer explains to us the differences between American and English television. John Inman reveals how his early "day job" came in very handy when playing his lovable character in "Are You Being Served." And you'll never guess who most influenced the comedy of Eric Idle. The people he listed surprised me. This is an excellent book to take with you on a plane flight since the chapters are relatively short and will hold your interest.
