This is a thin, lightening fast reading biography of Franklin Pierce of New Hampshire, 14th President of the United States. The problem for this reviewer is that this little booklet is way too fast in reading and far too thin. The term waif-like comes to mind. The 46 pages of text hold precisely 21 pages of useful text, presented in large type and written at a third grade level. The remaining 19 pages are in perhaps seventh grade legalese about making copies of the text! Since the book's site offers no warning, one is attached herein. This is a 10 minute read whose only strong point is brevity- one will not have to wade through lengthier tomes on our 14th President. That's all there is folks.
