Great photograhic experience:
Exactly what I hoped it would be - beautiful photographs. For someone who enjoys both Yellowstone and the winter season beauty, I recommend this book.
Murphy is a genius:
These books are amazing. His whole series is gorgeous. If you can't come to Yellowstone personally, you must see them. Even if you can, Murphy is getting photographs of things no one else can see! Just beautiful.
The Beauty of Winter in the Wilderness:
Tom Murphy's photographs and descriptive text make a perfect companion for anyone in love with the beauty of winter. Having been in Yellowstone in the winter, I truly appreciate the skill of this incredible photographer. Tom Murphy has spent endless hours photographing the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem and the photos that make it into his books are glorious. He is a naturalist as well and he takes you on a trip into the wilderness with his beautiful books.
Silence and Solitude:
Very nice photos. Exposition moderately good for this sort of book. Too much "I shot this when....." Makes a nice complement to more serious works, but certainly not part of the core literature.
A Few Outstanding Photos...:
All photographers have a handful of great photos and Tom Murphy's great photos are dynamic and worth the price of this book. Many of the photos in this book are just average. However, I admire him for trekking through and camping in Yellowstone in the Winter. To even get average photos in this setting is commendable.
