Amazon.com Review: It's easy to figure out which foods should be refrigerated or frozen, but proper food storage also depends on your refrigerator's temperature. Ideally, the temperature inside the fridge should be between 33 and 36 degrees F to ensure safety and food quality. Most fridges, however, don't have an easy way to gauge temperature. There may be a dial, but it's unclear exactly what effect turning it all the way to the left will have on your food. If you regularly find milk souring before its due date, or ice crystals sparkling on carrots, this thermometer will help make the correct adjustments. Sturdily constructed, it has large numbers that are easy to read. It stands or hangs in your fridge or freezer and provides temperature readings between 22 and 86 degrees F, or -30 and 30 degrees C. --Laura Cuthbert
