When I received it ..I loved it! Until... I realized you could not rewind the tape!! I thought how absurd, this couldn't be..then I called the Philips `hotline' and they confirmed my apprehension. So I guess the theory `you get what you pay for' is really true.

This is a great starter for someone who is interested in something cheap. It has incredible sound and best of all, the warranty is better then any other model I'v seen. Cool headphones too.
Got a klunker:
Quality definately missing in this machine. Radio stations that are clear on our other radios are static-laden on this player. Cassette sound also poor with a lot of hiss. Won't play cheaper tapes at all. Bought it as a gift and it was so embarrassing I ended up running out to Circuit City to grab a Sony replacement.
