My son is so happy everyone asks where to buy this...:
The first time I ever brought my son in deep water was in this boat, he was 7 months and all smiles. My son feels so confident when he's in this we've used this in pools, lakes and rocky rivers. We've tried others and this is his favorite bar none. He's figured out he can rock the boat and kick to propel himself all over (in a very controlled manner). Thanks to this product I have a child who enjoys the freezing northern waters as much as me :) The sun shade helps to keep a lot of sun off his back.

It worked great for me, through two kids...:
I don't understand why people are giving this item such bad reviews. The sun shade isn't perfect but kept both of kids faces shaded. I wouldn't put an older child in it though. I think the max age I would recommend is 18 months. After that kids are just to big for it. The durability is great and I'll use for my third child as well. It was a great product and along with sunscreen it kept my kids well shaded and happy in the pool.

not worth the money:
I bought this for a summer at the pool. I found it difficult to blow up, so after it was fully inflated I didn't want to let the air back out, which made it bulky. My son is only 4 months old and needed support in it, which I anticipated, however, even at his young age his head was touching the top of the sun shade. He also did not like that hardly any of his body was in the water. The seat is high and only about an inch of water touches the baby above the seat. Most of the time I took him out of the boat and held him lower in the water. I decided to let the air out of this boat and buy another model.

The shade part sold me and I'm sorry I bought it!:
We tested this out for the first time today with our 4 month old. The shade doesn't cover him where it's supposed to and when pushed more forward, it covers and almost touches his head. The picture here shows it covers pretty well but it doesn't! I like the concept but it fails. The seat is quite deep so the child can't touch the water at all. This one is worthless!

DISGUSTED - Aweful product and customer service:
On July 14 2005, I visited the Tampa Babies R Us store and had a most disturbing experience when trying to buy a pool floating toy with a shade. I was very disappointed to see that only one floating device remained and had apparently been used, as the box was torn and tattered, AND had a wad of chewing gum stuck on it. Had I not just driven from home in St. Petersburg (27 miles away), I assure you I would have left the product on the shelf and left the store. When I returned home I removed the product from the tattered box, I discovered that someone had defecated in the seat of the boat! There is no doubt as to the identity of the substance I found inside the box. I am absolutely appalled with the service, the product, and the shape of the box which was placed on your shelves. Obviously, no one takes the time to inspect items upon their return, they are simply re-stocked for the next unknowing consumer.
