Amazon.com Review:
The 12-1/2-inch spatula and 11-inch spoon in this matched set have silicone heads that resist heat as high as 500 degrees F so they won't melt in a hot sauce or if they touch a burner. They're also safe with nonstick cookware. The spatula has an exceptionally long head (5-1/4 inches) for quickly scraping bowls and folding ingredients together, while the tip flexes to conform to bowls' bottoms. The spoon's 3-1/2-inch head also has a flexible tip. Both heads are matte-finish charcoal black, complementing the stylish, black, enamel-like grips, which have polished, 18/8 stainless-steel accents and include hanging holes. Both tools are dishwasher-safe. KitchenAid says the first year of the tools' lifetime warranty against defects is hassle-free, with replacements shipped at no cost and without question if defects are detected. --Fred Brack

Comfortable in the hand:
Yet another great item from KitchenAid. These spatulas feel really nice in the hand, and do their job admirably. Silicone is a great material for spoons and spatulas, because it can be subjected to high heat without melting. I've melted a few plastic spoons and spatulas, and it doesn't do anything to improve the taste of food. The spatula is really nice. The curves fit the bowls of KitchenAid stand mixers and food processors perfectly, which is a really nice touch.

top performer over high heat!:
my husband bought these to replace our other plastic spatulas that have melted over med-high heat. these silicone ones are superb for stir-fries, sauces, scrambled egg anything that requires constant stiring. I'm amazed that the ends haven't showed signs of even the slightest melting! Other good points are:ease of cleaning, sticky food doesn't seem to cling or bake on, and:the bold colour is great for locating amongst the thousand other gadgets in the drawer. will purchase more of this silicone Kitchenaid when on sale (our dollar is quite poor against the US$).

Our mom thinks these are great. Mom's usually right.:
What can you say about a spatula? Mom got these as a gift from us recently. (Nice gift, huh? Nothing says Happy Birthday like a big red spatula...) Dad wanted to use them to scrape off table scraps for the dogs. Mom put a stop to that. So mom thinks they're too good for dogs. I think that translates into a 5-star spatula.

Best Yet:
I have been looking for years for a spatula that wouldn't melt or lose it firmness when used in a hot pot or skillet. Here it is at last

A stirring tribute:
After a mere week of use, our new set of silicon spatulas is already indispensable. They are not only very smart-looking, and modestly priced, but they handle beautifully and stand up to as much heat as you've got. They're just perfect for use with my Creuset pots, and do their duty in keeping the enamel smooth and unmarred. Highly recommended.
