Super Bright, Reliable and Compact,: I have evaluated lots of different flashlights including Maglite, Surefire, LEDs, etc. Flashlight technology has advanced from bright Krypton bulbs to brighter Halogen bulbs to super bright Xenon bulbs. The LEDs (light emitting diodes) are energy saving but produce a bluish white cast rather than an incandescent white. The Scorpion flashlight is the best buy among the bunch. It is reasonably priced. The replacement Xenon bulb is not expensive whereas the Surefire replacement bulb is an expensive entire reflector unit. The Scorpion comes with a spare Xenon bulb located underneath its reflector head. These tactical flashights use two 3 volt Lithium batteries. The batteries (type 123) are somewhat costly and last only about an hour continuously on. The good thing about Lithium batteries is that they have a long shelf life. The old Maglites were large and heavy enough to bludgeon an assailant with. The newer tactical flashlights such as the Scorpions are small, lightweight, dependable, super bright and pocket size. Shop around for the best price. It can be purchased for as low as about $30 new Streamlight Scorpion 2-Lithium Xenon Flashlight, Black #85001 . For those of you who need spare bulbs Streamlight Scorpion Bulb 1Pk - Flashlights and Batteries - Mfr#85914 Spare batteries M3 Technology 123 Lithium Photo Batteries Or a convenient belt holster if you prefer instead of a clip Black Nylon Holster (TL-2) .
Poor Product: It did not work at all and so i returned it i DO need A Clip on flashlight but i need one that works and has parts i can get anywhere not parts i "must" buy from them. God bless take care.
Incredible Flashlight - better than SL brand: A comfortable rubberized body (I can now bite on this without worrying about chipping my teeth), adjustable beam that can be as focused or diffused as you want it, and a better switch than my StrLt E2e make this the better flashlight in my opinion. I have no equipment for measuring lumens, but side-by-side tests indicate no discernable difference in brightness to my eyes. The only thing that could be better would be the size. It is definitely fatter in both the head and body than an SL with two batteries. But the tradeoff is worth it IMO.
A Flawed Masterpiece: I got this light and was immediately impressed by its intense brightness. I played with it for about two minutes, then it broke. So, needless to say, I was very disappointed. I've got word it was the switch that was defective. I'm still waiting for a replacement.
