Features:
Straight from the Shire (or Vermont, A Close Substitute)): Annie's, the friendly company, makes this fine organic and vegetarian Worcestershire Sauce (it appears that other products have anchovies in them, hence their non-vegetarian status). Made in the beautiful state of Vermont (not too far from Ben and Jerry's) this apple cider vinegar, molasses, soy sauce based product adds a lot of dark spicy flavor to stir fries, hamburgers (I'm imagining here that you'll probably get soy burgers, and anything needing a sweet/sour/spicy kick to it. As suggested above, great in sauces and stews too. In each large (perhaps recipe-based) 2 tablespoon serving (about seven servings per container), you get the following nutritional components: 20 calories, no fat, 460 mg. of sodium, 5 grams of carbohydrate (four of which are sugars), and bit of protein (< than 1 gram). Other information about Annie's company and products are on the web at anniesnaturals.com Hint: For more fun, teach some youngsters to spell "Worcestershire," show them where it is on the map, and read "The Wind in the Willows" to them!
