Good starter saw: I'm really happy with this saw. I purchased this one after reality set-in that I couldn't buy the $600 MK! I was hesitant about it because there were no reviews written on it at the time, but Grizzly is usually a pretty safe bet. As is always the case with Grizzly products, it arrived in packaging that looked flimsy and pretty banged up by the journey. Styrofoam had lots of broken pieces, but the saw was fine. There are several other "tile saws" with fence available for a similar price online and at home improvement stores. They are made of plastic, though, and look ridiculously cheap. I like the Grizzly tile cutter because the exterior is made of metal. The top is stainless steel-- fence is aluminum. The accuracy is as good as can be expected considering that the tile must be manually fed against a fence and on a table that is gathering a sludge of water and gritty tile material. For a standard tile job with basic lay out, the cuts were fine. I really like the durability of this saw. I clamped it to a metal stand, set it outside, and constantly sprayed it off with my garden hose. Even though my amount of soaking it in water was probably just shy of dropping it in a pool, it operated smoothly and is ready for the next project. Last thing: the motor runs very quietly--- seems to be a Grizzly family trait among their tools. Once a tile is fed against the blade, though, the sound is LOUD. But the quiet startup is nice compared to what others say about the various tile saws that look like a mounted angle grinder. I'm not sure how the feed-rate compares with other saws, but I was satisfied with it. For $100 bucks, I think this saw was a great choice for a weekend warrior.
