These six 6-1/2-inch saucers are intended to be paired with the shallow soup cups in the Dune Lines collection for the purpose of catching spills before they make it to the tablecloth and providing a cooler way to carry the cups. These saucers come in a soft, off-white color and have a smooth, rounded form, meant to resemble the colors and contours of a sand dune. The unexpected design elements are the textured, imperfectly formed beige striations that cut across each saucer, meant to imitate the wind-formed linear ripples found in sand dunes. This chic tableware matches best in kitchens with a more modern décor; however, the subtle colors allow it to blend in most anywhere. The saucer not only coordinates with other pieces in the Dune Lines collection, but also can be mixed and matched with pieces in Villeroy & Boch's Palm and City Life collections. Made of vitrified porcelain, this saucer appears to be slightly translucent but has the weight and strength of earthenware.
