Excellent Bird Supplement:
Ornabac is a wonderful weekly or daily supplement for all birds, but it is excellent for birds that are undergoing the stress of moving, illness, etc. This product is a must during and after any kind of medications. The lactobaccilus as a gut replacement is questionable. However, it's low ph will keep gram negative bacteria from proliferating. It's NOT a panacea or replacement for vet testing if a bird appears ill. You can use this freely on soft moist foods without fear of overdoing any of the ingredients. It won't adhere to seed since it is grainy. I've been using this product for about 20 years or so and hate to run out of it. I use the 1 lb. size for the number of birds that I have.
