11 oz. Size Distinguishes this as 4 cyl. Product: Without a doubt, this is a super hi-performance oil additive! The only difference between this 4 cylinder product and the 6 and 8 cylinder products is the amount of fluid product you get. This 4 cylinder product is 11 oz., the 6 cyl. product is 15 oz. and the 8 cyl. product is 19 oz.. From what they tell me (on their website-(...)) and from my experience, the fluid volume is the only difference between the products by cylinders. After years of using oil additives which increase viscosity and the risk of blowing oil seals in the engine (I've done that.), I tried this product. It does not increase viscosity, but it does increase the gas mileage (10-12%) and the performance of my 1998 V6 Plymouth Voyager which now has almost 140,000 miles on it. Also, it quieted the noisy lifters and made the engine much easier to turn over on very cold mornings. During the summers, I do use a viscosity-increasing additive ("NO SMOKE") which I find to be better at reducing the engine's tendency to burn a little oil (quart every 2,000 miles), especially at high speed for sustained periods. However, "Restore" increases gas mileage and is better in cold weather in every way. Now that Old Man Winter is nearly here again, I'll be repurchasing the little silver can very soon. Brrr! (I have NO affiliation with any product or company)
"Restore" Really Does Restore Your Engine's Power!: Restore is an engine additive that will restore your engine's power to almost a "brand-new" condition. I know this sounds fantastic, but it's been true for me. I have a 1997 Ford Expedition with over 120,000 miles. I noticed the engine had lost its zip in terms of acceleration compared to when it was brand new. I put in some Restore at an oil change and within a couple hundred miles, I noticed the acceleration had more zippiness than bogginess. Now, after using Restore for over 6,000 mile, my engine feels as though it had the power it had when I first bought it. It also gets the same gas mileage it got back in 1997! There are several different sizes of Restore additive. Select the size that is appropriate for your car's engine based on the number of cylinders it has, i.e. 4, 6, 8, or 10. Technically speaking, Restore replaces (or fills in) the fine scratches and wear that occurs on the cylinder walls, thus making for more pressure internally and a greater output from the engine. I am sold on this product. It will be a regular addtion to my oil crank case with each oil change. Jim "Konedog" Koenig
Product does not work!: Supposedly the product restores your engine's performance by filling in the scratches of your engine and restoring the compression in the cylinders. I wanted to try this product, so I tested my engine's compression before and after using the product. The 4cylinder engine has 160,000 miles on it. Guess what? The numbers were exactly the same if not a little lower (higher numbers are better)! My MPG also did not change. Proceed with caution if you are considering this product.
