disappointed: I have a small pond in the backyard and thought this was perfect. I unpacked it and went to plug it in--and no plug. It has 2 little prongs like a grounding wire, and the instructions say put it in the "power pack"-I did not have a clue what to do so I returned it. Maybe I am just not Pond savvy but to keep others from being disappointed I thought I would share my experience.
Not enough detail given with this product: I thought I was pretty "low voltage landscape" lighting savvy when I bought this product. I had my main low voltage wire laid out complete with power pack (transformer) out of sight on the side of the house. I had been planning for a fountain and was finally ready to put one in and thought these lights would be perfect. Unfortunately, the instructions aren't very specific and i thought they would connect to the main low voltage wire just like all the other 20 watt lights at home depot, lowes, etc. These connect directly to the transformer which is on the side of my house, much further than 20 feet away. I'm assuming I might have been able to splice the wire with the main low voltage wire, but I didn't want to alter the product and most certainly void the warranty....so I sent it back. I don't really see the point of limiting these lights and making them connect directly to the transformer that must be within 20 feet??? Just beware of this fact when purchasing. I have been satisfied with Malibu lights in the past and probably would have been happy with the lights if they had worked with my application.
Work well: I have had these lights installed for over a year now and they are working well. I live on the ocean and regular outside low-voltage lighting just do not hold up with hurricane storm surges, etc. These lights are actually installed as yard lights and not submerged in water.
Malibu submersible light: Malibu Outdoor One-Light 20-Watt Submersible Light with 20-Foot Cable #CL115 The only complaint I have is the cheap plastic ring for a stand. I had to tie it to a brick to keep it from floating away.
As easy as can be!!!: Manufacturer's instructions are right on the money. 20-foot cable makes it easy to attach. You can use the clips it comes with, or you can remove them and attach to any existing nearby low-voltage wire. Excellent construction with easily removable cap in order to change bulb which is well sealed with an extremely thick rubber gasket.
