awesome but doesn't lock:
I really like the cat door. Its very convenient. However, it doesn't lock with your existing door. You have to install a diff lock that would require you to remove the existing handle.

This is great! The cats can go out on our enclosed balcony whenever they want! I have three cats and they love watching the birds and activities at the apartment complex. My only problem was that they did not like pushing through the little door. I think if you had young cats they could be trained but mine have reached that stubborn age. When I first looked at the door I did not think they would fit but I have a cat that is 12lbs and he fit just fine.
More uses than a pet door:
I have this modified to accept the exhaust from a mobile air conditioner for my master bedroom which is windowless but has a patio door (ask the builder, I've given up trying to figure out why). It installs in minutes, is nice in appearance, and isn't flimsy at all. The lock could be a little sturdier, I added one for security sake.
