This amped-up version of the classic Hedge Hog trimmer features a patented blade tooth design to help cut through thicker branches. Smaller-scale trimmers are fine for new growth, but this one helps clean up overgrown and older hedges and shrubs, handily cutting through branches up to 3/4 of an inch in diameter. Surprisingly lightweight and comfortable in the hand at only 6 1/5 pounds, the trimmer runs off a powerful 2.8 amp motor that generates a fast-cutting 3,300 strokes per minute. Hedge Trimming Hedge Hog with pro results:
The bladges are much better than other products on the market. The blade can accomodate wider branches. This product has a blade cover that protect the trimmer's blade. There is a safety switch and a continious cut switch for larger jobs. I am more than satisfied.

Chews & splinters:
"Trimmer" saws and chews (splinters)its way through shrubs, bushes, etc. No one can say it cuts. It does successfully chew to length.

Dual-Action works:
Dual-Action works much more efficiently than my old one, which is the 'single action' type.

Should have paid attention to reviews before purchasing!:
Like the first review said this trimmer does not cut off clean. You end up with chewed off instead of cut trimmings. My old trimmer (not a B & D) was 100% better. I am sorry that I purchased this inferior trimmer.
