Works Instantly!: Buy it, it works for the shudder. My wifes 98 Explorer had a terrible shudder for about three months and I was dreading taking it in for repairs. When reading about transmission shudder all over the internet a lot of people suggested Dr. Trannys Instant Shudder Fixx, I ordered some and put it in and within ONE mile the shudder was COMPLETELY gone. WOOHOO! I hear that it has something to do with the torque converter not locking up completly but after adding this it shifts smoothly and no more washboard shudder! Try it, it's only about six bucks. Oh, yeah, just pour it in the transmission filler tube while running with the transmission in "PARK"
GREAT STUFF: WORKS LIKE MAGIC HAD A DAMAGED CONVERTER ADDED THE STUFF AND REPAIRED THE CATTLE GRID EFFECT IMMEDIATELY CAR RUNS LIKE NEW JUST DONT KNOW FOR HOW LONG I THINK THE STUFF IS A GOOD SHORT TERM FIX WORKS LIKE MAGIC
pretty amazing stuuf: I have a 1997 5.0l AWD Ford Explorer that at the time this product was used had 165,000 miles on the transmision. Like many Fords I had begun to develop the dreaded torque converter shutter that often plagues the ford truck trannys from this era. I decided to drop the pan, drain the torque converter and refill with fresh mercon V fluid. I was amazed to find a very clean looking transmision as I know it is the original, however fresh fluid didn't fix my shudder one bit, not even the Mercon V which is designed with that in mind. Facing a 2500 to 3500 dollar bill to rebuild what was otherwise a solid tranny I did a little research online and found many people recomending Dr Tranny instant shutter fix, and saying it cured their problems. Being as I am generally a sceptic of additives, I reluctantly ordered one tube of this stuff mainly out of curiuosity and because I had a gift card for Amazon with only ten bucks left on it. I swore up and down that there is nooo way this stuff would work. After first putting it in, I let my explorer warm up for a few minutes, then drove the 1 mile long gravel drive to the highway. The trans shifted amazing! Not one bit of shudder and it felt very solid after each shift! I purposefully waited to write this review to see how this stuff worked long term as I am still very much a skeptic. Well, it has been about 8 months if I remember right and I now have 172,000 on the clock. The trans will now very occasionally and only when it is very cold on it's first lockup of the morning SLIGHTLY shudder! Compared to the nearly everytime it locked up shuddering before, and driving with the overdrive off unless I was on the highway. I am still amazed by this stuff , and if my explorer starts to shudder again, will gladly try another tube of it. I strongly recomend it to anyone with a similiar problem, it's definitely worth a shot and could save a ton on a trans rebuild. Oh, I forgot to mention, I even pull my old 1969 Silverline boat on weekends in the summer with this rig, it seems to take it quite well.
Dr Tranny results: Had a shudder problem with our 2004 Saturn Vue torque converter. Instant Shudder Fix, worked like a charm the first day. No Shudder :) It appears to be a short term fix, however, 2 months later a slight shudder is occurring. Certainly, less severe but occurring in any case. A $6 fix is still a great deal even if it needs to be repeated over time.
