I've had the original for almost 4 years, since Dyson first came out with "The Animal." It filters just fine. So, why not 5 stars? Because I bought the wrong one, or the wrong one was sent. Three inch graphics don't distinguish the various Dyson models very well. Make sure you're got the right one before you open the package ... or before you order for that matter.
Spare filter:
Purchased as a spare, so I don't have to wait for washed filter to dry.
