Price per gallon treated is very high: Lucas treats very few gallons of fuel per ounce of the product. This quart size only treats 60 Gallons of Fuel. So when you break it down, it's 15 cents per gallon of fuel treated. I've never seen an additive with a price so high. It would be one thing if it works to save money, but it doesn't. The only thing it really does is to give you lubrication. You can do better than 15 cents per gallon treated in the lubrication department. For Diesel, I'm all about a product DPS, from a company called LNP Solutions. For gas treatment, I haven't found a winner yet.
Lucas gas additive: Even though I have used this product for a short period in both vehicles the gas milage has improved as well as using one grade lower gas with no ill effects.
Not worth the money: I used this fuel additive in the past.Although it helped quiet the engine a little bit I did not see any fuel saving effects at all.If you want to save gas this is not going to give you any fuel-efficiency gain. None of the fuel additives in the market saves you money by reducing gas consumption. None. If you just want a fuel injector cleaner this may help with that.
