Bissell pro heat 2x:
I got mine at the Home Depot, I have mostly had the Regine Vac carpet cleaner but they stopped making them, and I have to tell you it is the best carpet cleaner I have ever purchased, I have rented the grocery store ones, and I have borrowed a Hoover but this one really cleaned my carpets, I live in Arizona, we have a dust problem that you have to be here to understand, BUT this machine (with the extra floor nozzles) does the carpets and Hard flood with ease, and the only time I can remember seeing the true colour of the carpet was when I had them professionaly cleaned, yes I am happy with my purchase, I would make one choice different, I wish it did a better job on the hard floors, it seems to me that the hard floor peoblems are a lot different then carpet problems. I hope you enjoy your purchase as much as I am enjoying mine.

I couldn't be happier with this product!:
I got the Bissell Proheat 2x for a gift and I could not be happier with it. We had the ugliest, nastiest, stinkiest carpet from our kids and pets. So many stains and I thought the carpet was a goner. This cleaner has made my carpets look brand new. I kid you not! I love, love, love this carpet cleaner.

Bissell ProHeat 2X:
After much research I purchased the ProHeat 2X. I have 2 dogs and it had been way too long since my carpet had been deep-cleaned. My previous machine was a canister vac that hooked up to the kitchen sink and it wore out. While I liked that machine, it was no longer available. The ProHeat 2X is a little heavy. For a middle-aged person who is out of shape, I would compare it to shoveling a sidewalk with 3-4 inches of snow on it. The difference is that it is easy for me to sit and rest for a bit if I need to when I am cleaning the carpet. Other than that, I find that it cleans extremely well and thoroughly. The water tank is not large, but then it is not heavy when it is filled. The solution tank empties quickly but I generally use the heavy traffic setting when I clean the carpet. Both tanks are are easy to remove, empty and/or fill and replace on the machine. It does take a full day for the carpet to dry but I don't find that to be problem. The directions say not to use any other cleaners than what is recommended but I always mix the solution with an enzyme odor remover (to compensate for the dogs). This works best if the carpet is damp for a day or 2. I do not find the machine any noisier than my previous machine or ones that I have rented. I rated this a 4 stars ot of 5 only because of the weight.
