Here are four good reasons to buy this wall mount. 1) Excellent construction. If a 9.0 quake strikes, your tv will be safe (maybe not your house). 2) Includes a small level (that completely agreed with my 3 foot level) for quick installation. 3) Includes latches for two padlocks (not included). Positioned well (meaning bolt cutters can't access), so if you use them, any burglar will give up on your tv. 4) Overall easy installation. My tv was up in five minutes. Might take 10 if you are mechanically challenged.
It's ok, but not great:
The price was good on this mount, $59 at the time, and it does the job. The frame is pretty flimsy and one of the lag bolts broke as I was screwing it into a wall stud. The included drywall anchors are junk. Once installed the mount looks pretty good and seems sturdy. You definitely get what you pay for with this product but it does get the job done.
Doesn't work with Samsung LN-S2341W 23" LCD HDTV:
I could not use this because it would not work with the Samsung LN-S2341W 23" LCD HDTV - more a fault of the TV than the mount. The mount is very easy to install and would have worked great if my TV were compatible.
Practical:
Easy to install with a little mechanical knowledge (like finding studs), it is well made.
Does not fit Vizio 37XL (20" mount):
Seems sturdy but the width listed is for the whole unit. The actual mount width this unit can accomodate is 18" or less. (18" would be pretty tight, I think). it seemed sturdy and simple to install.
