Unless you want a throw away phone- Don't buy this phone.:
We bought this phone 19 months ago and have been happily using it with great sound quality. As the earclip with the headset looked cheap, we've been using it with great care, but ultimately it just broke. I contacted their customer non-service department and they refused my claim and said it was customer damage. I was particularly insulted as I KNOW we were very careful with it, so I explained it must have been a defect in the material or workmanship and should be covered by the limited warranty. I escalated the call 3 times before getting the manager (i.e. they gave me the run around). The absurdity of them not sending this 2 cent plastic insert piece gives one an idea of how they regard their customers. If you don't want to use the headset I expect you'd be fine. As I need to use the headset this defect renders this phone worthless to me.

Almost awesome:
I have had 5 of these phones. I have gone through dozens of headsets trying to find one that works. This review is after using these for 1.5 years plus. Pros: No cords to the headset You do not need to carry the handset with you while using the headset The base / transmitter can be plugged in close to the phone jack - i.e. you do not have to run a phone cable to your desk, and the charging unit can be somewhere else. Range is very good - I start to get static new the mailbox (transmitter is at the back of the house) Microphone is awesome - it has automatic gain control meaning people can actually hear you when you speak. You can buy more than one of these and they do not interfere with each other. Battery life on the headset is pretty good - estimate is around 4-5 hours. Not enough if you are on the phone for 8 hours, but pretty good, and charges back up pretty fast. Comfort - you can wear this thing all day Cons: Reliability - I had 2 fail in the warranty period, and another one defective out of the box. Thomson replaced without too much difficulty. I still use them for the reasons above.

Problematic battery life:
I've had this phone now for two years. I love its functionality but the battery has now reached the end of its life. Fully charged, it now lasts no more than 25 minutes! That isn't long enough for any business call. If they made it possible for me to replace the batteries, I would give this phone a 5. At this price, though, it doesn't seem like a good deal to only last two years.

Nice Try:
I just got the phone and am having echo problems like many others. Although it's not too bad, it does drive you a little crazy after awhile. Working at home I do like the appeal of a wireless headset, just not one like this. Not sure if it's being too picky for only $120, but thought I'd share my weeks worth of experience with this phone.

BATTERIES NOT AVAILABLE:
I cannot recommend this phone. After having purchased this system for a small business in less than 2 years 3 of 6 recievers require battery replacements. Batteries are not available anywhere - RCA parts department, Radio Shack, Batteries Plus, plus numerous online vendors do not carry them. These use a 3 lead (2 positive, 1 neg) connector with 3 batteries in a blister pack to create a 3.6 V 1800 mAh. The drones at the product support just keep repeating "they should be available locally". Completely worthless.
