Price is deceiving:
It looks GREAT that this product is $19.99 for a whole GALLON. However, there's a $10 S/H charge, which brings it over $30, and this Gallon only treats 250 Gallons of Fuel. When you break down the costs, it's probably the most expensive Fuel Additive on the market. I've been around the block with Additives, and I've tried them all. I know that Lucas users probably get 3 to 4% increase in fuel mileage, if at all. When you do the math, you're not saving anything. You're breaking even, at best. Lucas is good for Lubrication, and smoother operation, which is a decent benefit. But there are much cheaper options on the market.
The Good Stuff !:
I find the Lucas Upper Cylinder Lube to be a great product. I notice Smoother Quieter Engine Operation. It's nice to have a product that Cleans and Lubricates your Intake System. This equates to Better Mileage and less ware on engine parts. This is about making your engine last. For Cars you plan to keep! The mileage is not enough to make this cost effective. I'd say that about any additive claiming mileage increases. The S & H is the Deal Breaker.. Buy it at the Auto Parts Store.
