Excellent!: I have this 4 quart saucier pan as well as two of the Mario Batali 6 Quart cast-iron with enamel pots with lids. These are oven safe!!! I believe up to 450 degrees. They are excellent cookware. I rarely use any other pots anymore. Heat retention is fantastic and they cook extremely evenly. Remember to use wooden (preferably) or plastic spoons with these pots as metal tools will scratch up the coating. Handwash and dry, no dishwashers with these! They are expensive but when you figure that you will have these for life, and possibly your great-grandchildrens lives as well...they are well worth the investment. I really haven't found a type of cookware that compares to this. If you are serious about cooking do yourself a favor and get one of these!
Mario pot: I use this pot alot now, even to braise meat and make stew. Makes a great stove-top or oven slow cooker because you can regulate the heat. Easy to clean. If anything really sticks, we rinse rhe pot, sprinkle with "Kleen King" and soak a couple of hours or overnight.
wobbles: I got this pan in penne (ugly yellow, but it's growing on me) while it was deeply discounted. I would have liked to get a 4-6 qt dutch oven from Staub, Le Creuset or even Batali but this was relatively free. I like the brushed brass look of the knob on the lid better than either the plastic Le Creuset or the chrome Staub. The enamel on the penne seems somewhat matte as opposed to glossy. Some may prefer this but some may think it looks cheap/unfinished. The interior enamel looks like on the Le Creuset (glossy white). One serious complaint I have is that this pan did not sit flat fresh out of the box. For glass top stoves this means uneven heating. For this reason I rated it only two stars on a scale where Le Creuset is 4 and Staub is 5. If it didn't wobble I'd give it 3.5 stars.
