Love it!:
Beautiful unit! Excellent storage capacity and easy to operate controls. It was also a bonus for us that this unit was one of the few that did not have a full or partial stainless steel front, as we are not fans of the stainless kitchen decor. Wooden racks are definitely a plus, especially when pricier units give you those awful wire racks. Key lock for security. Quiet operation and awesome value for the money.
Not Happy:
Before purchasing this product I read several reviews, one of which made reference to the unit changing temperature on its own. I experienced this same proble. I set the temperature for red wine at 58 degrees per the instructions but noticed a fluctual of as much as 5 degrees. When I called Avanti the customer service department was of no help. When I asked to speak with a supervision the line was disconnected. I have yet to receive a reply to either my repeated telephone calls or e-mails. I would not purchase any Avanti product in the future.
Do NOT buy this Wine Cooler:
I bought this product two years ago based strictly on looks, features, and dimensions. Within 3 months it leaked all its coolant and was deemed unrepairable. Customer service was near impossible to contact, rarely returned calls, and took over 3 months replacing the unit. 1 yr 4 months later the new unit no longer cools... and the warranty has expired. I am choosing to not fight this battle again and will not purchase an Avanti product ever again. ...But it DOES look great, humm politely, and fit perfectly in my custom kitchen.
